First and foremost, HEYA gave me the opportunity to share my passion for singing in front of around 60 people.
I had the chance to perform two of my favourite self-written songs. One of them was actually a last-minute choice, because one of the artists I met there, Safranna, already knew my songs and told me how much she loved “Lovelorn”. I realised that I wasn’t giving this song the attention it deserved, so I decided to perform it during the Heya Session.
It ended up being my best performance of “Lovelorn”! I felt completely comfortable giving it my all, without worrying about seeming too dramatic, because all the other artists were also fully expressing themselves on stage.
I’m so proud of that moment, and I was able to share the video of my performance with my audience on social media.
It was such a wonderful experience. I made beautiful connections with people I am still in touch with today on Instagram. The HEYA community is incredibly warm and welcoming!
